Vapor line:

Used in every cycle and necessary to validate the sterilization.

Helix test:

Utilized every month it is a technique to check the correct functioning of the autoclave for steam sterilization; in particular it’s efficiency in the sterilization process is verified. At the current state of the art it is the only system to verify the capacity of the sterilizer to get the steam (thus sterilizing) inside small cavities.

Vacuum test:

Utilized once a week it is also called the empty test and it is a control cycle to verify the functioning state of a sterilization autoclave. The test consists of reaching a vacuum threshold and maintaining it for a specified time. The autoclave must be able to maintain the vacuum stably otherwise it is considered negative.

Biological test:

Considered optimal three times a week to verify the adequacy of the process. It is able to indicate and integrate not only time and temperature factors, but also those known and unknown factors that influence the biological deactivation. It is a standardized presentation of microorganisms spore, a state that gives the microbe a particular resistance to the sterilizing agent.
